Markets are fascinating places to visit. We visit a small fishmarket near Tanjung Priok in Jakarta

Indonesia is a country of over 6000 islands.
There is more sea than land and it is not surprising therefore that the sea is a major source of food for many Indonesian people.
In this video we visit a small, but busy fish market in Jakarta.

We visit the fish market with Pak Nasruddin.
He is originally from South Sulawesi.
He is Bugis; a people closely connected to the sea.
He always comes to this market on a Sunday to buy his favourite food.

There are many different types of seafood.

Pak Nasruddin of course bargains to get a good price.
